Clinical Mechanism
The wrapping technology creates a thin transparent film on skin that holds actives against the stratum corneum for the full 8-hour sleep cycle. Standard night creams begin to dissipate after 60-90 minutes. Sheet masks become inert at the 20-minute mark. Yuri's wrap maintains active concentration through the deepest phase of overnight skin repair (typically hours 3-5 of sleep).
How to Use
Apply a thin even layer over a clean, dry face as the final step of your evening routine. Do not rinse. Sleep normally β€” the film is transparent and won't transfer to pillowcases. Rinse with lukewarm water in the morning. Use nightly for the first 28 nights (the clinical study window), then 4-5 nights per week for maintenance.
Clinically Proven Results

HOW IT ACTUALLY WORKS

Most masks sit.
Yuri wraps.

The difference isn't the ingredients on the back of the tube. It's how long they stay against your skin doing work. 8 hours vs 60 minutes is not a marketing claim β€” it's the entire mechanism.

  1. A transparent film forms on skin contact
Within 90 seconds of application, the formula creates a flexible occlusive layer β€” invisible, non-sticky, won't transfer to pillowcases.
  2. 8 hours of active absorption
The film holds actives against the stratum corneum through your entire sleep cycle β€” including the deep-sleep phase (hours 3-5) when skin repair peaks.
  3. Morning: barrier reinforced, scaffolding built
You wake to skin with strengthened lipid barrier, locked-in hydration, and measurable collagen scaffold support β€” not just a temporary glow.

THE FORMULA Β· PEER-REVIEWED

Three actives.
Each one peer-reviewed.

No proprietary blends. No "trace amount" trickery. Each active is dosed at the concentration the published research used.

ACTIVE 01
Absorbable
Marine Collagen
INCI: Hydrolyzed Collagen (MW <3,000 Da)
Standard collagen molecules are too large to cross the stratum corneum β€” they sit on the surface and wash off. Yuri uses hydrolyzed marine collagen below 3,000 Daltons, the molecular threshold for actual dermal penetration. The wrapping film holds it in place long enough for absorption to occur.
CONCENTRATION
3.2%
Industry typical:
0.05–0.2%

ACTIVE 02
Niacinamide
(Vitamin B3)
INCI: Niacinamide
The clinical standard for hyperpigmentation, uneven tone, and barrier reinforcement. Below 2% it's a marketing ingredient; at 4% it does measurable work on melanin transfer and ceramide synthesis. Yuri is dosed at clinical concentration β€” the same level used in the dermatology studies cited below.
CONCENTRATION
4.0%
Industry typical:

ACTIVE 03
Hyaluronic Acid
+ Ceramide NP
INCI: Sodium Hyaluronate, Ceramide NP
The barrier-reinforcement layer. Low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid hydrate at different skin depths simultaneously; Ceramide NP rebuilds the lipid lamellae that hold water in. Together they restore the lipid bilayer that thins as collagen drops in your 40s.
CONCENTRATION
2.5%

THE 12-WEEK PROTOCOL

What happens biologically.
What you'll see visibly.

Skin doesn't transform on a marketing timeline. It transforms on a cellular renewal cycle. Here's what's happening underneath the surface β€” and when you'll see it on top.

NIGHT 1
Wrap forms. Hydration begins.
The wrapping film sets within 90 seconds. By morning, corneocyte hydration has measurably increased (corneometer +20-30% on Day 1 readings). The barrier begins receiving ceramide-NP support.
You'll see: softer, plumper texture. The "I used something last night" glow.
WEEK 1
Barrier reinforcement.
Trans-epidermal water loss drops as ceramide NP integrates into lipid lamellae. Niacinamide begins suppressing melanin transfer to keratinocytes. Hydration plateau begins at Day 7.
You'll see: visible firmness, reduced morning puffiness, makeup sits better.
WEEK 4 Β· CYCLE 1
One full cellular renewal.
The 28-day cycle completes. Stratum corneum has fully turned over β€” every visible skin cell is now one that received the protocol from Day 1. Fine line depth measurably reduces (Day 28: -45% average). Tone uniformity climbs.
You'll see: the photos in this study. Friends asking what you're doing differently.
WEEK 12
Collagen scaffold rebuilt.
Three full cellular cycles. Collagen scaffold rebuilding reaches measurable density gains in the upper dermis. Firmness recovery (cutometer) typically peaks here. Most customers describe this as the "I don't recognize my old face" mark.
You'll see: the version of your skin you stopped expecting to see again.
CLINICAL FAQ

The technical questions.
Answered honestly.

Does this contain retinol or other prescription-strength actives?
No. Yuri is intentionally retinol-free. The formula relies on absorbable collagen, niacinamide at 4%, and a ceramide-NP/HA barrier complex β€” none of which cause photosensitivity or barrier disruption the way retinol does. This makes it safe to layer with prescription tretinoin (use Yuri on alternate nights or at a different time of day).
Can I use this with AHA/BHA exfoliants?
Yes, with timing. Apply your AHA or BHA on its own night, or in the morning. Apply Yuri on alternate evenings. The reason: acid serums temporarily disrupt the skin barrier; you want the wrapping film to work on an intact barrier, not a destabilized one. The two protocols are complementary but should not be layered the same night.
Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Likely yes β€” none of the actives (collagen, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, adenosine) are on the standard pregnancy avoidance list. However, we recommend you confirm with your OB/GYN or dermatologist before starting any new product during pregnancy. We will provide the full INCI to your physician on request.
Will it interact with prescription tretinoin?
No negative interactions. Many of our customers use both β€” most commonly tretinoin 3 nights per week and Yuri on the other 4 nights. The wrapping film actually helps repair the barrier disruption that tretinoin causes. If your dermatologist has you on a daily tretinoin protocol, apply Yuri in the morning instead of at night.
What makes Yuri's collagen different from standard collagen creams?
Molecular weight. Standard collagen used in most creams is around 100,000–300,000 Daltons β€” far too large to cross the stratum corneum. It sits on the surface, feels nice, and washes off. Yuri uses hydrolyzed marine collagen below 3,000 Daltons, the threshold at which transdermal penetration becomes biologically possible. Combined with the 8-hour wrapping window, this is what allows actual dermal effect.
How was the 4% niacinamide concentration chosen?
The 2020 British Journal of Dermatology dose-response study established 4% as the concentration at which measurable improvement in hyperpigmentation, skin barrier function, and ceramide synthesis is consistently observed. Below 2%, niacinamide effects are negligible in clinical settings. Above 5%, the irritation profile increases without proportional benefit. 4% is the clinically optimal dose β€” and most "high-niacinamide" products on the market still come in at 2-3%.
Is the 28-night study peer-reviewed?
The study itself was conducted independently by SeoulDerm Clinical Research and is not yet peer-reviewed in a journal β€” it is an industry-standard clinical efficacy study, not an academic paper. The published research underlying each individual active (the collagen molecular weight study, the niacinamide dose-response trial, the ceramide-NP barrier paper) is peer-reviewed and cited above. Full Yuri study methodology and raw data are available on written request.
How do I patch-test before regular use?
Apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm or behind your ear before bed. Repeat for 2 consecutive nights. If you see no redness, no itching, and no breakout after 48 hours, you can apply to your full face. We recommend patch testing for anyone with diagnosed sensitive skin, rosacea, eczema, or who is currently using prescription topicals.
